Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Bentley's custom coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique key case to commemorate the brand's centennial. It is made from Dark stained Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes an eagle-like "B" paperweight keys, as well as an unreleased booklet with 1930s 8 Litre images.

Aesthetics

Bentley estimates that it takes around 500 man hours to design and assemble the average Mulsanne. The unwillingness to embrace modern technology is the main factor to this time-consuming task. The Crewe factory workers don't use a machine to space perfectly matched leather seats. Instead they do it by hand. And rather than letting the car's built in sensors guide it into parallel and perpendicular parking spaces, drivers have to do it by hand.

At the event, Bentley showcased its Mulliner personalization capabilities using an exclusive example that was the Mulsanne W.O. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays homage to the founding father of the brand, William Osler Bentley. The limited edition cars come with the key, which displays an item from the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
