After the battery has been removed, insert the new one in its socket. Make sure that the positive side is facing upwards and that it is seated in all the clips. Slide the cover downwards towards the key-ring portion until it is loose and falls off. Uncover the cover and reveal the hidden key blade. This will be used to unlock your car from the driver's side door in the event that the key fob battery is dead or has been lost.
